Paper Dolls Background Stamp Challenge
I am finally posting a card again! This completes the PTI Paper Dolls challenge #40 to use a background stamp. Please visit our blog and play along!
I used Beautiful Blessings for the sentiment, but pulled out Fall Elegance for "Hope"... I just love it when things like that work out! The papers are Cosmo Cricket (LOVE!) except for the Spring Rain cs I used to balance it all out. I stamped Polka Dot Basics II in versamark to keep up the theme but stay subtle.
My photography needed a little work since the card seems a bit "sideways!" :)
Anyway, sorry for being so absent this past month. With visitors for long stretches (who were all dear friends), 2 business trips, 2 different sets of swim lessons, 2 additional out of town personal trips, 1 vacation (and that was JUST June!) by the time the July 4th weekend rolled around we were just done.
Thankfully, we can now have a bit of rest. We have VBS, friend playdates, and fun swimming to look forward too... but until school starts mid-August we have (or should have) NO more craziness.
Enjoy!
Kristin
So pretty! I need to start using PP more in my cards, I love the color combo and the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you posting again Kristin! It's such a busy time for many of us too. Your card is beautiful. I adore the colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteOh Kristin, this is so pretty! I love the color comgo - the light blue & white makes the red pop. Also love the knotted ribbon and the papers.
ReplyDeleteSweet card with that pretty floral paper. I like the way you've used blue in your other paper choices as well. I always find blight blue a hard colour for me to work with. You've really done a great job with all the details.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and pp choices, Kristin! Red, white, and blue (in any shades) is one of my favorite color combos. The simple, knotted ribbon is such a nice subtle touch--I really must remember to do it myself! Love the doubling of the "hope" sentiment too--it reinforces the main message of the card. :-)
ReplyDeleteSheesh - reading about your busy month just made ME tired! NO more craziness, OK, we're gonna hold you to it! Love this sort of country French look...and that knot with the ribbon is a great accent.
ReplyDeleteCute little card with the most perfect sentiment! I'm glad your summertime will finally slow down a bit for you.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you chose and that sentiment is perfect. I probably need to get that set.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been so busy!! Glad you were able to take time to craft! This card is really pretty, love the color scheme!
ReplyDeleteYou're summer sounds like ours! I'm hoping after this week it slows down for us...HOPING!
ReplyDeleteThis card is beautiful. Between this card and the last you're inspiring me to use more of my patterned paper!
Kristin your summer sounds like mine! VBS, softball, dance starts today! Oy! Lots to do!
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous! I just love that sentiment set! Those verses are so pretty! Thanks for sharing my friend!
