Last up is Paige's sketch. I really played around with this one. I used up some paper I rec'd and my bella baubles.
This has been fun (even though I didn't get to everyone's sketch in the group). I am going to still try to do that because I love cards! lol
Enjoy!

Cathleen's sketch: Kneel
Today I am featuring Cathleen's sketch. This is another CTMH sketch with PTI ribbon. I loved how this card turned out. Very simple and clean.
It was with great prayers that this card is being sent out. Friends far away have found out some devastating news and this is the card I made for them. A few of my blogging sisters are sending cards (thank you girls!!), my dad & stepmother have a card ministry at their church, and they are being covered in prayer from coast to coast!
The inside sentiment is "When life is too much to stand... Kneel"

Becky's sketch: Make a Wish
Next up is Becky's sketch!
This is another all CTMH card (sorry that I am so bad about not knowing the names!!). The colors are Dutch Blue, Sunflower, and Hollyhock- I do know that! I ran the HH cs through the Swiss Dots cb folder. And, the sentiment/image panel (from an unknown J's purchase a couple of years ago) was stamped first in the lighter Sunflower (cupcake) and then the darker Dutch blue. Never did that before and love the look!
Enjoy!

Michelle's sketch: Cherry Good wishes
Next up is (my personal favorite) Michelle's sketch! I case'd Okie, but used some old Basic Grey paper (with some extra distressing), PTI cs and ribbon, stickles, and glossy accents. I just LOVE this card. It's just "cool" IRL. Wish you could see it!
Enjoy!

Christyne's sketch: Happy Birthday
I'm finally getting around to posting some of the cards I've made from my blogging sister' (Ladies, Ink) sketches.
First up is Christyne! She is our Challenge Hostess and wow, was this a doozy! (and I thought last month was outside of my "box")...
She issued a challenge to create your OWN card sketch, and then have to make cards of the other ladies' sketches (all by the 31st).
Well, I won't make it all this month, unfortunately. Too much going on these last couple of weeks... but I do have a few cards to show you before then!
This is CTMH Paper Garden (some of my all time fave pp ever) with Say it in Style sentiment in Sweet Leaf and the flower image is in Petal. The scallop was cut with my cricut.
Enjoy!

1st day of Kindergarten- Jake
Todays the BIG day!! Our oldest is off to his first day of kindergarten. We are all very excited. This is an all CTMH card (except for the ribbon that I've had for years). The paper pack is School Zone (as is the stamp set- including the boy image and the sentiment). I saw a "bookplate" on someone else's blog and wanted one, but none of my cricut carts had one, so I designed my own!! Yipee for me!
I watercolored the boy (again, seriously wanting to sell my copics... I know one of my blogging sisters sent me an email about buying them but I can't find it!! ) and tied the bow and glue-dotted it onto the card.
Enjoy!

Pre-K layout
Sorry for the week long absence everyone! There have been a lot of things happening in our personal world that have not allowed for any time on the computer.
Some of those things are REALLY fun... our oldest starts kindergarten on Monday!! Earlier this summer I completed (finally) his Pre-K layout of his class picture, but realized I never posted it (ack!).
So, here it is. I am so proud of it and him! I used a cricut cartridge, paper and diecuts I got from back at the GASC last year June, and more of my stash.
He is VERY excited about starting "big school" and we are excited for him!
Enjoy!

SS Alter Something
This is the last item (but filled to the brim with goodies inside for my SS) that I have to show you that I made for my SS. I altered this tin and used some my cricut and design studio software to make the label on the front. I stamped it in CTMH Hollyhock which matched the paper perfectly. The ribbon I've had for awhile, and used Bella Baubles on the front.
Hopefully she enjoyed the surprises on the inside!
Enjoy!

SS Activity Card
One week for our Secret Sister we had to make a card showcasing a fave activity... our family loves to camp! I had to make it a "girly" card ;-)... so the tent is PINK and I lined the envie with the same paper (from an old 6x6 M&M pp stack I got 2 or 3 years ago) I used on the card. I used my watercolor pencils (b/c I am seriously considering SELLING my copics (if anyone out there wants to buy them!) on my studio G stamps.
All in all I thought this was a super cute card!
Enjoy!

My Secret Sister goodies
Hopefully by now most of the girls in the Sassy Stampers group have sent and received thier goodies from their Secret Sister. I was SO lucky to have had Shell!! This is a picture of the cards and other goodies. She also sent me several packages of brads (which I've already used on scrapbook layouts and Terry's card) and some stamps that I am dying to use (and since I am typing this almost a week before it posts... maybe longer if I have to delay it b/c I *know* the other girls haven't gotten their stuff... I may ALREADY have used them and posted the cards!).
Thank you SHELL!! I just LOVE your stuff online, but to see REAL LIFE examples... wow. You are such an artist!

Ladies Ink Challenge Sketch & Happy Birthday Honey!
Oh my goodness... Christyne... our *Challenge* girl in our Ladies, Ink Blogger group just will not let us have any easy one.
This time around (last time was the 3D challenge) we had to create our OWN sketch (WHATEVER!!... I am the queen of copying sketches not creating them myself) and then we will be creating cards based off of everyone's else's sketch (that's the fun part- new sketches for me to put in my book and lots of cards I'll need for the fall).
Since I don't use Photoshop or anything like it, this was my best shot and it still didn't come out right. So, ladies make note... *** THE RED RECTANGLE SHOULD GO ACROSS THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE CARD*** just look at my example :-)...
And on to my example!
Today is my sweet husband's birthday!! He loves manly cards (he's a man's man for sure!) and he loves that first cup of coffee in the morning (and even one late in the evening, too).
I just wanted to make a card he could look at and kind of enjoy!
Hope you do!
Enjoy!

Birthday Girls!
Today is MY Birthday :-)... and I love celebrating it!! I think there may (at some point) come a day where I might not want to celebrate it quite so enjoyably (but I'm getting ever close to 40 and that time hasn't happened yet!). I celebrate all week long in what was dubbed the Birthday Extravaganza by some work friends years ago.
In my Ladies, Ink Blogging group there is another woman who also celebrates her birthday today and we have had a fun time talking about all the things she could do to have some of MY Birthday Extravaganza week for herself!! (I had to share, of course!!)
One of the things I wanted to do for her was send her one of my favorite cards ever... I made this last February and have hung to it ever since. I just LOVE it. But, for Michelle- the only other person I've ever met (who ALSO loves this stamping stuff like I do) who shares my birthday- it was worth it to send it to her!!
Please visit Michelle and leave her some birthday love (me too!!)
Enjoy!

SS Week 2 Challenge
I love Jen from i {heart} 2stamp! When the challenge was issued for our Secret Sister swap to do something besides a card I went straight to her blog. She has an ABC Friday and I love those!! So, first I must confess I completed CASEd this idea. Here is her version which I believe is so much better than mine, but I would not have mine if it wasn't for hers... so there you go!
I used some shimmer paper (finally got some in a swap!- wowow!), PTI lavender moon that I CB with Swiss Dots (cut out the flowers with my cricut), another cs I had that I cut out with the cricut. Scallop at top with ribbon I tied in a cute bow. I punched corners at the bottom to give it a more finished look.
These are flower embelleshments, so they are adhered with removable adhesive. My secret sis can pull them off the shimmer cs and put them on cards with a permanent adhesive and voila, her own embelly!
Enjoy!
