Lots of happy's birthday

This is another CASE of a Nichole Heady card. I mass produced these for a reason. They turned out better than I could have expected. I used a stamp set I got a JoAnn's years ago for about $5 (the script "happy" came from a CTMH Easter stamp set). I used CTMH inks and a CM pen to outline and make everything stand out.

Pretty Bella- Image Swap

My blogger group had an image swap a few weeks ago. I got my images this last week and didn't get to play until this weekend!

This is jammybella. Isn't she cute?? I pulled out some unloved CM Gazebo paper that I bought when Emma was a newborn. I used it a couple of times in the kids scrapbooks, but finally made it card paper. Still didn't use it much!

Anyway, once I picked the papers, I colored her in copics to match. Then, I paper pierced the main image, matted her and tied the ribbon.

Once I decide who she'll go to, I'll stamp the sentiment.

happy... Pumpkins & Halloween

Morning all!

I recently completed Emma's layout for the pumpkin patch, carving, and Halloween fun. I used Storyteller's club pack (I got this when I attended their class at the GASC in Arlington in June). They have great cs quality, and some thin chipboard diecuts and thicker chipboard accents that you can alter. Their more expensive pack even includes ribbons and brads w/ additional cs.

I don't have circle nesties, or circle punches... just the good old reliable CM circle cutters and mat. I have never been able to make myself spend $$ on the punches, or even the circle nesties for that matter (especially now with the cricut!).

I love to journal, but sometimes like the clean look with title, pics, and embellies. So, hidden journalling to the rescue! Here, I made what looks like a file folder and tucked it under the pic of them dressed for Halloween. I used post-bound albums, so once I insert the lo, I use my craft knife to cut out an area for people to remove the journalling to read (and to save the page from being taking in and out of the album).

A friend's birthday

So, at some point in the next several weeks, I know someone having a birthday (there, that should be secret enough, right??). I wanted to make her (okay, the card is peach, has polka dot ribbon, and says "what's up cupcake"- it's NOT to a guy!!) a card she could really enjoy.

Again, a sketch I got from somewhere, but don't know who- sorry!

I used PTI Berry Sorbet cs and ribbon, and CM Gazebo pp for the outside panel (and inside too!). I ran the cs through my cuttlebug with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. The stamp set is What's up Cupcake from MFT stamps.

I stamped the base, cupcake, icing, and sprinkles in different colors- black, CTMH Hollyhock, and CTMH chocolate. I also used my blender pen to even out the coloring.

On the inside I used the same pp as a liner, and then stamped 3 candles in CTMH chocolate.

After this pic was taken, I decided to add stickles to the sprinkles, and cover the icing with glossy accents.

Can you tell??

Could you tell that I ran out of scheduled posts?? I am usually able to spend a bit on the weekends working on the next weeks posts of things I have done, but this weekend was busier in some aspects and just needed some plain ol' time with the family yesterday.

Anyway, I have a bunch of pics to upload of a project I made and completed yesterday. On Friday, my friend Angela had a baby girl!! Very exciting and we didn't know what it was going to be until she arrived!

So, yesterday afternoon I got a short nap and then got to work!! Creative juices flowing and I had a blast. I used a .cut file (and I don't know from who!!- bad me) for the image and paper. I used some thin chipboard (just stuff I've been collecting from different things) and paper was CM "Gazebo".

It is a BABY Girl Wordbook!! Take a look:

I actually put more ribbons on the side than in this picture (but didn't take any more photos before taking it to Angela today).

I'll show below some pics I took after each section was done before I assembled.
