Happy Summer Mail

This is my fave color combo and I love the stamp too! We cardmakers love to receive "happy mail" as much as we love making it, so I sent this right out to my fellow birthday gal pal in Ohio!! (Hi Michelle!!) It was early summer so the sentiment, Happy Summer, still had meaning, lol!! I aqua painted with stamping inks and cut out the envies from cardstock and popped them up to give them a real feel on the front.

As to that birthday gal pal... well, on the 3rd (that's right, next week!!) we are celebrating another year YOUNGER and BETTER :-).

Enjoy!

Summer Lovin'

This is a cute card I made for some friends. I just wanted a fun summery card, cute colors, with some bling (see the pink flip flops) and cool effects (the drink has liquid glass on it). I got the paper at a LSS in OK on a trip, and I love that it matches my PTI cardstock!!

Enjoy!

Sad Goodbye

A sweet older man I know passed away recently. I made this for his family who I cherish and have known for years. So sad that I couldn't have done more. PTI Kraft and Enchanted Evening is a beautiful combination.

Oldies but Goodies

Lots of cricut"ing", paper I got on clearance (still had the 9 cent tags on them) when Recollections closed years ago, and 3D stickers I bought when Emma was born and FINALLY took out of the package (purse, ABC book, color page). Those were so old that I had to put new adhesive on them, haha. Gotta love it when things like this come together!

Enjoy!

Card by Emma

This is the card that Emma made for her best friend at daycare. Isn't it cute! I'm a huge believer in letting kids craft at an early age, especially if they are asking to join in with you!! My kids LOVE to get creative along with me, so I have paper they are allowed to use, and I let them use all of my stamps (with supervision). She's gotten very good! Then, she wanted to color it since I color mine so off she went! Love it! (the flowers were stamped too on that blue paper by her!!)

Oh by the way, this was the perfect stamp because her best friend is a boy!! :-)

Enjoy!

Cricut challenge shocker

A few months ago on the Cricut MB a woman was challenging others to use (go figure!) their cartridges. No design studio, no gypsy, and not just look at your carts, but break them out. She'd list one per week and everyone would post their creations. Well, a woman posted a dragonfly card and envie similar to this (not CASE, but I wanted to give her credit for the idea) and I fell off my chair because I could not believe THAT creation came out of THAT cartridge. I mean, I'd had that cart since the beginning of having a cricut. No way, could it produce anything like it. So, when a birthday of a special girl came around, I decided it was time to challenge myself.

Sure enough, people, this came from DOODLECHARMS!!!! There is a card feature with a base layer and a foundation/envie button (the last button on the overlay). The round dragonfly on the front of the envie is the charm with the foundation layer. I put stickles on the wings and antenna, bella bauble in the head, and liquid glass for the body.

It's Berry Sorbet with coordinating paper and ribbon.

So, pull out that cart and get to work!!

Enjoy!

Anniversary card

Since lots of weddings happen in May and June that means lots of anniversaries in future years! This is one of my fave color combos. Used another cuttlebug folder I don't use often, but I think is really effective. Lots of pretty stamping swirls on the vanilla cs.

Enjoy!

Gone Fishin'

I love that Jake loves fishing with his dad and uncles when we visit the family. Jake caught a TON of fish last time we were there. He had a blast!! I tried to really capture his joy and the sheer volume of fish he caught that day for future conversations of that fun memory. How did I do? :-) (this is when I love my cricut the most!)

Enjoy!
