SAF: Inked Impression Plate

This was a quick and easy challenge for me.  Here are the details.

I was able to made the card quickly because of the other scraps I had from other cards I have made last night and today.  Here is my card:

SAF Cotton Challenge

I'm enjoying these challenges!  PTI SAF is always when I make the most cards- probably just because of the inspiration.  The cotton one here is so different & unique!

Here is my card:
I used a clear cardstock sheet over the glitter card so that I wouldn't have to worry about the glitter coming off.

Enjoy!

SAF: 2nd challenge Paper Scraps

The 2nd challenge involving paper is to use paper scraps with a vellum overlay.  Here is the challenge details.

I used all PTI cardstock & vellum cardstock with the balloon die and PTI stamp.

SAF 2017: 1st challenge Paper Embellishment

The first challenge for the weekend is to make a project with a paper embellishment.  There were a few cute ideas here and I picked the paper ribbon.

If you look closely you will see an iridescent thread- that is from an SAF from at least 2 years ago I believe!  I'm enjoying "shopping from my stash" and using all these goodies I have (and don't use nearly enough!).

I'll warn you, most of my projects will be cards and almost all will be birthday cards and thank you cards!

Here's my card using Some Like it Hot & Think Big:

SAF 2017 Take 10 Challenge

It's that time of year once again!  I work hard to set aside a little time to craft once a year and because I am married to the greatest man, it is actually possible!  I won't be able to participate the entire time because of a son in XC and some church commitments, but I will be here for most of the weekend!

You can find the details here.

For the first time PTI is celebrating this event as a weekend event!  They celebrated 10 years in February so their theme is "anniversary" and they extended the event for this year.  I personally love this as my husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage in June!

The first challenge details are here, my inspiration photo is this one:

and my card is here using the Black & White paper & PTI cardstock (white & Hawaiian Shores):
What is a little bit "awesome" here is the circle.  That is from a VERY old free printout from a PTI anniversary freebie or SAF freebie from many years ago!  I found it when I was getting my things together for this weekend.  I had no idea if I would use it and here it is! Perfect!

Enjoy!

April 2016 PTI Blog Hop

Well, I am happy to be playing along this month!  Seems like I have played along more in the last year than the last several years combined.  I had to "not read" the forum threads because I thought of something completely different when I saw the inspiration picture than what was being discussed on the forum this past week. :-)  You can play along here.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Saturday Snail Mail: Thank You PTI Staff

This is probably my last card to enter for a challenge, but I was so glad I was able to participate.  We were asked to make (& send) a Thank You card to the warehouse staff at PTI in OH.  Being an employer, I know how important a simple "thank you" can be to the staff.

Here's my card:

Paper Crafting Alphabet

I'm still playing a long with the anniversary festivities!  Today's challenge was the alphabet challenge.  My letters were:

B- sentiment on a border
O- ombre effect
R- rounded corners

Color Pop Challenge

Two posts (2 cards!) in one day.  For my blog it may be record (in years anyway).  This is for the color pop challenge.  As a kid/teen of the 80's, it was fun to make one of the "flip" paper fortune tellers.

The colors I had to use were: Summer Sunrise, Canyon Clay, and Pure Poppy.  The only way (in my mind) that these colors would work well together was to go very CAS.  More so than I usually am able to do so confidently.  I hope it looks good!

Grab & Craft PTI Challenge

PTI's 9th anniversary is still happening!  I was able to play along with their "5 minute Grab & Craft" challenge today.  I used a panel that I had stamped and colored a long time ago (maybe a year?).  Pulled out the cardstock base and cut it and then the stamp set was on my craft table (so was the bling).  Took longer to photograph and upload.

Enjoy!

PTI Dress Up Inspiration

Here is my 2nd post/2nd challenge for the day.  Who knows how many I actually will get to play along with but at least I know I can comment when I can't create a card.

Here is my fashion inspiration (from my pinterest board):

PTI 9th anniversary Project Favorites

I'm excited to be able to participate in the 9th anniversary of PTI challenges.  Today's post was using a "recipe card" of color choices to create our own card.  Here's the card I chose:
I have followed Laurie's blog for many years and love everything she does.  Her color choices were an easy choice for me because those are some of my favorites.
Here is my card using Bloomers:

January Blog Hop: PTI

Wow... Two blog hops this close together??  I am definitely getting a lot of crafty time lately and time to blog!
Here is the inspiration photo:

Here's my card:

I used papers and a die from the SAF 1960's kit.  I had just been through all my 2014 SAF kits because I am trying to purge my stash and I really like this kit and LOVE the 1980's kit.  I knew immediately how to make it all come together!

Make It Monday: Matchbook Valentine

I was able to participate in this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday.  I made my kids some Valentine's Day treats using some very old sets... that I can't seem to part with no matter what!

PTI Blog Hop November 2015

I can't believe I am participating in the PTI Blog Hop again!  The picture was so beautiful and I used it to make a Christmas card for one of my son's teachers.

Wooden Bangles

My last project is the wooden bangles.  My first batch was a complete bust because I have a small wrist, and all of them were huge and so none would have fit my wrist or my 8 year old's.  I boiled the second batch on SAF after seeing Maile's video and put them inside our Disney World Disneybands!  It worked out great.

My girl wanted us to be twinkies so we painted them silver and used more butterflies.

End of the day SAF 2015 projects (Red Carpet)

I'll still do the wooden bracelets and the runway inspiration challenge tomorrow, but except for reading the forums and looking at the blog I am done for the night.

(So, in my world it is tomorrow...)

Here is a picture of my girl wearing her necklace.  She loves it!

Stamped Stitches: Pins & Needles Challenge

We were supposed to use stamps that had the appearance of stitches.  I really don't have a lot of those.  But Button boutique is an older set I have and I thought I'd make a cute little "love note" for my husband who has had the kids all day (out of the house even!) while I crafted.  I used both of our favorite colors and embossed the stitch look and turned the patch die into a diagonal to look a little more interesting.
