Happy Birthday Lisa!

I have some great stationery to show today...

I used Basic Grey Perhaps paper as the base and the scallop oval. I sponged CTMH Hollyhock on the sentiment oval. The pink grosgrain ribbon is from Walmart. The sentiments are CTMH Say it in Style, Love in Bloom, and Hero Arts.

I also used the Threading Water punch on the bottom of the base.

The scallop ovals and regular ovals are from OkieLadybug for the Cricut and CDS. If you have a cricut and design studio software, you MUST visit her blog!!.


Now, if you are interested...

Today is the birthday of my longtime friend and business partner. We have known each other since our college days (even though she was a year behind me... but I'm still younger- hehe).

She LOVES all things daisy, and I usually go out of my way to buy her something that she will like and it usually revolves around daisies... so I at

least gave her 2 of this sentiment.



I absolutely love my profession- always have. The great thing is she does too. She is amazing and has a great gift to help others.

We have now been working together for over 8 years and are still enjoying every minute. We recently started a practice together, so this year we are "light" on the gifts, but that doesn't mean I didn't want to give her something great.

Bella Card Sketch

Morning all!

Sparkle announced a NEW weekly sketch over at SCS AND if you win you could get $20 Bella credit... who doesn't want to win that??

This week, Vicki, is the one to CASE. This is the card that Vicki made and here's mine:

I stamped Eloise Greengrass on CTMH White Daisy in black ink and let it dry while I assembled the layers. I don't have a ticket punch so I use another punch to create the look. The other cs is from a big pack I bought from Oriental Trading about 8 or 9 months ago (good buy!) along with some random pp. The flower is from the Paper Studio. I colored her with copics and used stickles in her wings and to outline the dress, shoes, her bow and part of the flower.

I am saving the sentiment until I'm ready to give it away...

Mojo 59 Sketch

Over at Julee's blog (owner of Verve stamps), she puts on a sketch every week.

This week I decided to play along. I really liked this week's sketch. I went all out for it too (haha).

I used CTMH Vanilla textured cs as my base and image panel with the stamping. The pp is CTMH Silhouette. The stamped panel is a combination of stamps from CTMH With Love that I stamped in black ink and versamark and then heat embossed with black powder. I had some extra of the panel leftover, so I cut out and popped up the flower and leaf.

I used 3 black brads and will stamp the sentiment whenever I am ready to send it to someone. I put repositionable glue on it so it'll come off and then I'll pop it up too.

This is one of the fanciest cards I've done and I really like it!

Love this sketch!

So, I've been hanging out more in the SCS forum lately. I even joined a blogging group (that I wrote about here). It's nice to have people comment on your "stuff" and to see other people's creations for your own inspiration.

I've seen a lot of people write about the "sketch" from SCS, but never went to find it, I just used their version as the inspiration. However, now that I've found it I could be hooked! Especially for this week- awesome sketch: SCS 200.

I even did 2 cards... here is the first.

My good friend Melissa is pregnant with her 2nd child and they just found out it is a boy! They are very excited. I had very little time to make the card, but am so happy with how all the colors came together.

I used DCWV blue cs and Blossoms & Butterflies pp, random ribbon from HL (that I did correct after taking the photo!), and PTI Chocolate cs. This cute little duck was stamped in CTMH Indian corn blue (matched the blue cs perfectly!), and I used my blender pen with CTMH Sunflower and Autumn Terracotta to color the middle one. I also popped him up a bit and used my paper piercer for the first time (so forgive it if it isn't straight or very good!). Celebrate at the top is CTMH Say it in Style in Chocolate. (on the inside I used my cricut and New Arrival cart to cut out a 1" version of It's a Boy in the same blue cs- cute!!). Finally, I used a blue envie and stamped another duck on it in chocolate- finishing touch.

Another Birthday girl

This morning we attended a birthday party for some new friends! They have a boy the same age as Jake and a girl the same age as Emma.

We really have bonded quickly in the short time we have known them, so I wanted to make a cute and special card for the birthday girl.

I used Capedia's castle on my cricut and design studio- it's Paper Dolls and Jasmine carts.

Then, I stamped with CTMH Hydrangea and used purple stickles on the inside. I colored the castle with embossing pens.

The boys had fun on the John Deere tractor- they drove all over the place and had a blast. It is so nice to have a boy for Jake to play with that is close by AND so sweet too.

I think the girls will play more as they get older (they are both only 2). However, they each follow their older brothers around wanting to do whatever "he" is doing!
