RAK cards

I joined the RAK group over at SCS and was made an official member on 11/12. I knew (from reading the forum) that I would be getting some "welcome" cards... I just had no idea how awesome it would be to open them.

I *knew* they would be beautiful.
I *knew* I would post them to the blog.

But, I really didn't know how great it would be to see the envelope and *know* it was a card for me. I make cards for everyone now. Husband, children, parents, best friends, other friends, etc. But to get these cards meant a lot. I knew how much of a labor of love they were... so I could fully appreciate them.

CRAFT day...

Yesterday we had a great time at our church crafting away the day... I am in the midst of getting pics uploaded so you'll see plenty this week!

Gift Card Holder

Have you found Lauren Meader's blog? She is amazing. Recently, she partnered up with Papertrey Ink to sell her templates. But, last month and this month she offered a FREE one. I am ALL about free :-).

It was for a Recipe Wrap Up, or Gift card holder. For the baby shower I attended the other day, I made her a Baby Shower gift card holder.

I used CTMH white craft ink, white embosing powder, and white glitter on the flowers. I also used the Threading Water punch on the outside and inside. The cs is from OT stack and the pp I got a long time ago.

I have some cute fonts I've downloaded from Creating Keepsakes (FREE!) and one is Ali's handwriting. So, I printed this off and layered it onto the inside flap.

This was super easy, the embossing just took time.

December "Doc" Boxes

So, it's that time again at work... We make boxes to take to the physician offices who we are trying (and in some cases successfully) to get them to refer to us. For Christmas, I used the SCS Try a New Technique with these mini-Christmas trees. We used a CTMH stamp set, Breeze ink, and pp I've had since last Christmas. We stamped the scene, added the cut out hats, and assembled everything.

This DID take some time, don't know we'll be able to do it again!! The boxes open up so we can put a little candy in there!!








We made several... I really think they turned out cute!

Prayers...

Today, a young man (okay, close to my age) who is a friend of ours is having a bone marrow transplant in TN. His wife, Jessica, loves to scrapbook too. They have a 6 yo daughter. He has been through many rounds of chemo over the years (he came home from Iraq sick with cancer when his daughter was 18 months old). He has served our country well.
