My stepmother's birthday was this past weekend. I finally got my hands on some Shimmer cardstock and put it aside just for her card. I always want to make her elegant cards. I must tell you this cardstock is fabulous!! Stamping on it was wonderful. I stamped CTMH Autumn Terracotta, Hydrangea, and Goldrush, with Garden Green for the stems. I can't remember the stamp set, but it is CTMH as well. I scored around the edges and this is a simple one layer card!
Enjoy!

Ladies, Ink 3D Challenge
My blogging group, Ladies, Ink issued a challenge: 3D (dum, da, dum, da... DUMMMMM)... ok, that was overly dramatic, haha.
I made a coupon book (file her coupons in) that will hold a pen and shopping list on the inside (of course, I forgot to get a picture of the pen and notebook!).
Anyway, a wonderful friend has been watching my kids on Mondays all summer. I wanted to make her something to show her how much we appreciated what a sacrifice she made for us. So, I took Lauren's template "All Boxed Up" and printed it out on PTI cs, ribbon, and printed paper. I wanted everything to match and look completely finished (Lauren's motto!). I even used my scallop punch on the inside to finish it out.
I used some Stampin' Up stamps that a friend had recently given me (for FREE, to use indefinitely!!), my cricut and design studio software to cut out the shapes AND I pulled out my cricut markers (that I never use, shame on me) and found that the green marker matched perfectly!! I just colored with the other markers I had in the open areas to finish it off.
The second picture shows off the bow!
And the last picture shows the tabs/file folders that will be for her to sort her coupons.
Enjoy!

SS Week 3: Birthday Card
Here's another sneak peak! We had to make a birthday card, so I used some cute Tea Party dp paired with CTMH Sweet Leaf textured cs. I cut a flower from one of my cricut carts and put a Bella bauble on it for some bling. I paper pieced Eloise (my fave way to show her off). I went back and "fixed her face" after I photographed this... didn't realize what happened till after the fact! The sentiment is CTMH Say it in Style. Of course, I used stickles on her wings for some final bling!
Enjoy!

Here's another PTI lavender moon card, this time with a Bella image that I've paper pieced and a CTMH sentiment stamp. I also paper pierced around the image to make it stand out a bit.
Enjoy!

Birthday for a friend
Today is an old friend's birthday. I was sooo late getting this card in the mail to her, but hopefully she will forgive me once she gets it!
It's all PTI and paper piecing... witha background butterfly stamp I picked up ages ago at M's that I rarely use (I stamped it in the same color ink as the base card- Lavender Moon). I also used CTMH Hydrangea for the dark puple.
Check back in a couple of days b/c I'll show off another PTI Lavender Moon card with a Bella image!
Enjoy!

Secret Sister
In my Sassy Stamper blogging group we are doing a secret sister swap. I thought I would show a few "sneak peaks"...
We had to do a technique we don't use often or one we don't do at all. I used the brayer technique over the versamark/embossed image after I colored the little girl from the CTMH Play Time. (as in get a little Play Time for yourself!).
It is an all PTI card in paper and yellow grosgrain. CTMH in image and ink. I used my cricut and CDS for the scallop and circle and popped it up. It is a Monday Mojo sketch with a few Bella baubles!!
Enjoy!

Snow White birthday girl
Our best friends' daughter is turning 5 this week... 5!! That is their baby... oh my, the time does fly.
So, of course she is into "princesses" like a lot of little girls (although she is also into Mickey mouse too). Anyway, I borrowed the Princess cricut cartridge, used some PTI bitty dot paper, the Threading Water punch, and a sentiment in CTMH Holiday Red.
Here's a pic of my son at 5 1/2 months and their daughter at about 2 weeks. They live forever far away from us but have so much fun playing everytime we get together.
Enjoy!

A favorite sketch
One of my favorite sketches ever is from Lauren Meader. If you've never read her blog, you are really missing out. That girl is a powerhouse of ideas and inspiration! I don't even have the original date on this sketch but have been using it for almost a year. It's all PTI paper/ribbon/ink with CTMH stamp and black ink. It is just a perfect sketch! This is for my mom-in-law's bday this weekend. Here's a link to the first time I used this sketch (and it has Lauren's original!).
Enjoy!

Mom's present part II

Mom's present part I
Fortunately my mom wants me to make her cards to send to/give to friends for birthdays or other occasions. This year I sorta ran out of time. But, in case you did not know, I am a total paper addict! This is pp from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies from last year spring!!! I still horde it terribly!! I used pink cs that I have had for about 3 or 4 years (I know, terrible!). That pink ribbon? At least a year old.
Hi, I am a horder!! But, I really really really am using up my stash. (of course, if YOU have too much you need to get rid of, I am always happy to "hold" it for you! lol)
Anyway, I used my yellow Bella baubles on the 3 flowers on the card on the left and rounded the edges of the pp of the right card.
Enjoy!

Disney LO for friends
Last week a couple of friends who visited Disneyworld in May asked for some help with the titles and endings of their scrapbooks. Neither has a cricut. One actually just completed her first scrapbook a few months ago. I borrowed the Mickey font from a friend, used the Design studio software and went to work. I did the shadow in red with the regular title in black for the first title and the reversed it for the last title. I think it came out super cute!
Tell me what you think!
Enjoy!

Embossed birthday sketch
Have you ever visited Jen's blog? She's always got a SFYTT (sketch for you to try), and I love them! This was from waaaaay back in December, but I keep my sketch notebook handy and always thumb through it before making a card.
It is PTI Ocean Tides cs, grosgrain ribbon, polka dot pp, and some yummy white velvet ribbon (had for ages). I stamped the CTMH flower in CTMH White Daisy craft ink, double embossed with white embossing powder. So, lots of good texture since I didn't pull out my cuttlebug for this card.
This is for my mom's birthday on Saturday. Yes, THIS Saturday. America's Independence day. Since my mom was born on the 4th of July, she thought the entire country celebrated her birthday growing up. Hence, we sorta grew up with a skewed version of how birthday's should be celebrated. I, personally, have a Birthday Extravaganza that lasts all week long (too bad for my dear hubby who's birthday is 2 days after mine! haha).
Enjoy!
