SAF 2013 Sugar Coated Embellishments

I used Heather's example of coating an embellishment.  Now, I have a sweet card for my husband ready ... REALLY EARLY! Lol.

SAF 2013 Limited Challenge

I really enjoyed this challenge!

SAF 2013 Scent-sational cards

These are going to be the "lunch box" notes my kids open.  Both kids LOVE strawberries, but my daughter will love the top one- green & pink are her favorite colors (I used strawberry jello powder).  My son LIVES for hot cocoa! In fact, there is a tiny sentiment at the bottom that says "smile" on the front and I wrote on the inside how the first day of school marks one step closer to autumn and daily hot cooca in our house.  He will LOVE it!

SAF 2013 Gallon, Quart, Pint

I used an old PTI color combo I had for this challenge because I needed my other teacher card.  I am not as thrilled with this one, so I may do another.

SAF 2013 Sprinkle of Salt

I needed to use some of this weekend to make the "back to school" cards for my kids teachers... this ended up being a great challenge to accomplish that task! I was surprised how easy it was and unusual the results.  Nicole was right, my kids will love this technique :).

SAF 2013 Tea Dyed Technique

I followed Melissa's challenge (I soaked my muslin over night in plain ol' Lipton tea, lol).  I used the Beautiful Blooms #1-3 dies in various sizes to create my flower and then a center from Flower Fusion #12.  The leaves are dies from Delightful Dahlias.  I used a Clean & Simple sketch from years ago.

SAF 2013 Bake & Take

I chose this color recipe:

(No picture editing going on here, sorry!)

And a year-long break from blogger and it's a little rusty remembering how to do things, lol!

SAF 2013 Meet & Greet

While I took a year off from blogging (and can't promise I'll get back to it), I never stopped creating.  I was here with my decaf last night and full-strength this morning!  Very excited.  There's not a full-house of "campers" this year, like last year, but I still plan to enjoy "cooking and backing" :)
