Beach Babe

Here's a fun 2page beach layout for my daughter's scrapbook. The paper & most of the coordinating embellies are from the StoryTellers kit. When I attended GASC years ago here in Arlington, TX I went to a class hosted by them and got a ton of stuff (long story) for free. I'm eventually getting through it all. What I finally figured out was to use *real* accents (stickles, brads, my own stamping and cricut cuts) and fun stuff from my stash to bring it up to a level I was happy with so I could use their beautiful paper. They include great sketches which I usually use. This has some PTI and cricut stuff thrown in... see if you can spot it :-)

Enjoy!

Tiny Treats: Valentine

This was a fun Saturday morning with the kids. I pulled out TT:Valentine from PTI and cut out tags on my cricut. The kids picked a few images each, stamped them, colored them (Emma with crayons and Jake with colored pencils), then the sentiments to match. They each signed their name on the back. We then cut out a TON of little red hearts from the cricut and then Jake punched holes in his while I punched holes in Em's. They threaded the lollipops through the holes. Finally, I tied all the ribbons. Valentine gifts, done! :-)

Enjoy!

Cricut & PTI= my favorites!

Yea! I uploaded my pictures and submitted some cards. This one is so pretty (but doesn't pass the "neutral background" requirement. I used the card feature on one of the cartridges and some pretty paper; along with some great PTI products (with some cuttlebug embossing thrown in for good measure!) and I came up with this fun card for a friend's birthday earlier this month. On the vellum envie, I just turned it over and used the "back side" to address it. I learned a couple of years ago that in the US the postal system doesn't really care so I've done this kind of thing before with good results.

Enjoy!

Morning!

I really am still here and crafting up a storm! In fact, I have so many photos on my camera it is practically begging me to upload them, lol.

However, here is my secret... I made one teeny, tiny resolution this year (and I NEVER, EVER do that!). I am going to start submitting things to magazines!! In fact, I'm so shocked that I'm posting that here! It was going to be my little secret, but my poor blog has been neglected!

Many of you know the rules, some do not. Creations submitted to be published can't be posted anywhere online. So, all my pretty things just sit here until I *don't* hear from magazines... then you'll see them here!!

Or, when I realize "wow, that is a TERRIBLE card, layout, craft" and go ahead and let ya'll see it first! ha!

Have a great Saturday. Off to make the finger puppets with my kids that Nichole Heady showed off last week!

Enjoy!

Card Gifts

I realized I never posted these... made them for my receptionist for Christmas. I wanted her to have some quick and easy, but ready made notecards for friends and family near and far (Kansas). I used PTI stamps and dies (Delightful Dahlia) with Kraft base and SU's Sunny Garden paper with matching cardstock. Then, I packaged them up in a PTI clear box with a matching belly band and doily (no picture!!). Super cute.

Enjoy!

Thank you notes

Have you ever seen an idea that SO inspired you, that you stopped what you were doing and copied down the idea? Or maybe you wrote down where you saw it (the date/place)? Today's post is one of those *amazing ideas*... and I plan on using it again. In fact, I've already gotten feedback (from the grandparents who received the "thank you notes" below) that these were pretty AWESOME.

Have you EVER visited Mish's blog??

Okay, I hear a resounding *yes* from the PTI crowd who is reading this, but if you visit my blog and have NO idea who she is, you are SERIOUSLY missing out on some good stuff. (I'm serious, the woman blogs about crafty things AND how to put chocolate candy in cookies! I have made her recipes and they are GOOD!)

The idea is from this blog post here (she will explain it better-and shorter- than I will!).

My ds is 6 (almost 7!!) so he wrote his (and then signed his name in cursive... so proud of himself!) and my dd is 4 so I wrote hers and she signed her name. Then I wrote one from my dh and myself. These could be little treasured notes over the years as they grow up. I love it!

Enjoy!
