Make It Monday: Masking with Dies

Here is my card for this week's MIM!! Since Maile Belles introduced BB: Chevron Stripes I was inspired and pulled out BB: Christmas with the dotted version. Using the negative of the Take Three die I sponged around the edges with a light yellow and then stamped the stripe repeatedly in a pretty blue (those two inks were CTMH).

Now I know we are *just* getting into Spring but I'm a TX girl so barefoot or flip flop weather can never come soon enough!! I love summer! I pulled out the ones from Day at the Beach and Inks were Hibiscus Burst and Scarlet Jewel with a bit of stickles. Sentiment is from same set.

Enjoy!
Kristin

Oh I love your soft color combo, the use of the take 3 die negative and those adorable flip-flops! (being in HI, I'm also a flip-flop kinda gal for sure, lol)

Ha! Fellow flip-flop wearer here. That's all that is ever on my feet. Love them, and your card is the perfect salute to them! I love the softness you were able to create with the sponging and light blue background image. Perfect for the beach.

Just darling with those little flip flops! It's been way too cold in PA to even think about them yet.....but when the warm weather does arrive....I'll be wearing them constantly!

What a sweet idea to use that stamp to mimic chevron! Cute card!

Cute! I love that stamp set, and the flip flops (called "flop flops" at my house--don't ask!) are the best part! What a nice preview of summer, Kristin!
