The weekend after jake's 5th party, I sat him down at his table next to mine and let him work on his own thank-you cards. I wanted it to be very basic. He was bored with glueing the papers on pretty quickly, so we just concentrated on the stamping. For each person he picked the stamp they would get, stamp it himself, and color if necessary. Then, he would write his name on the back under the "handmade by". I finished them off for him.
We had a great time together!
Enjoy!

Those are adorable and its so great that you made them together.
Kristin, I luv that you let him make the thank yous and that you even made them, so many people do not send thank yous these days.....this is a wonderful gesture to teach him..God Bless you! *~*
Those are so cute! I have a couple young men who like stamping but get bored with the gluing also!
That is so sweet!
WHAT A CUTIE!! 5 years old is a great age! Enjoy it, My son is about to turn 6 :(
What a wonderful thing to do with your son. Sending thank you notes is something I have tried to instill and teach to my own children and I love the hands on approach you took with your son. Kudos to you! He will remember the time you spent and what a wonderful memory of you two working together and showing appreciation to loved ones.
Tell Jake he did an OUTSTANDING job on his thank you notes! Your blogger friend is impressed!!!
Great idea to keep him busy and wonderful to do stuff together...gotta enjoy that whilst you can....they grow up and leave home pretty quickly!
