Here is the other sketch challenge card I did about 10 days or so ago (man, I've had lots of posts lately!).I don't have a punch or label dies to make the image panel and mat. I just measured and cut off the same amount on both papers to create the look (what do you think??).
I stamped the image in CTMH Holiday Red and the sentiment in black. I needed red brads, didn't have them, so I "made" them with red stickles.
The pp is scraps I've had leftover for about 2 years (a lo I did for Jake's book) and because I recently organized my scraps I found them!

Great innovation Kristin. Using up stuff already attained is often a bit of a challenge but you have got it nailed.
ooh - great job making your own layers. hmmm....don't want to let my dh see this post otherwise he'll say - you don't have to buy those dies :D.
