Last week (the week of death, as I call it)... I was still recovering from being super sick... Terry set up a tent that jake got for his 4th birthday from some good friends and the kids went "camping"... well, Jake went camping. Emma stayed for a couple of hours (she had to eat the popcorn and climb in and out of the holes on the sides 10,000 times), and then came and said, I go bed now!
This was Mojo 77 Monday sketch. I used the Verve butterfly stamp. I stamped it first onto CTMH sweet pea paper in Breeze. Then, again in Breeze on white cs. I cut out the inside of butterfly and paper pieced onto the cs. I sponged some darker green and blue (garden green and indian corn blue?) ink and cut out the image. I cut out another circle of PTI Sweet Blush and then a scallop of the Sweet Pea pp. I inked the square pp panel with breeze, another pp (green polka dots) sweet pea pp rectangular panel wan adhered to PTI Sweet Blush cs base. Two bella baubles and 1 little flower gem I've had forever (that I got from who knows where?? none scrap, stamp related) and done!
This was sent out as a sweet thank you card!
p.s. Check your stash and send out a card today- it's a GOOD idea!
This was my ONLY goal this weekend... to post a blog! And, maybe, just maybe if I can hit publish by midnight tonight, I'll have done it!
What a crazy couple of weeks. We are all now on the mend. I may still have to sporadically blog and post as my time is still more limited now than I would like, but I have at least 3 projects to post about (including this one)... so, if I space them out... maybe you just won't notice??
Just be patient and keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
My mom had some friends in her church Sunday School class recently that were under the weather (who hasn't been??)... and wanted to send them a cheery card. These cards came in the kit that Lisa bought me for Christmas. Which is what I needed with the LOOOONG break in stamping/cardmaking (and right after taking care of 1 sick kid, in the middle of taking care of the other and right before getting sick myself!). I changed things up a bit but the love the bright mix of CTMH Garden Green, Hollyhock, and Sunflower.
Hey family, friends, readers, and those great Sassy Stampers! I wanted to give you all an update because I really never intended to be gone this long from blogging.
Originally I was gone on a week long business trip and just ran out of time to make stuff and pre post to fill in the time. Add to that some personal things that we all deal with from time to time that just make finding time to create AND blog difficult (not to mention, I just never really regained my mojo from losing it earlier :-)...)
Finally, I just spent a week nursing my youngest back to health... very very sick and now it looks like my son my have caught it (and when I say sick I mean I may have spent a total of 12 to 14 hours in the office this week- and some of that she was with me!!).
So, please know that I have not abandoned this site. In fact, my mom was desperate for a get well card (2 actually) last weekend before my daughter got sick and NO ONE is allowed to buy a card anymore in MY house :-)... so I was able to get those done (we will not discuss how long it took) and I even took some pics.
Keep checking out my blog links- my sassy stamper girls are amazing! Lots of inspiration!
And of course if you want to know what to buy me for future presents... you can always check out PTI (they are having yet another release tonight- so new goodies on their site tomorrow) haha!
