Make it Monday: Frames
It's the end of the week, but this past week Nichole showed a fantastic video of drawing frames for Clean & Simple cards. She is the Master of these frames and many times I have wondered how she did it. Now we know! :)
I used the following sets: Take Note and Big Birthday Wishes. The 7 and the starburst matted circle are both cut from the cricut. I used Clearly Creative Cardstock for the "Take Note" sentiment (stamped with staz-on)... first time for doing that!! Yea me! and I popped up the 7 for a bit of dimension.
The line was drawn with a green gel pen. I did use Nichole's tip so watch her video here to learn how!
Enjoy!

Love the colored pen! I wondered if gel pens would work...
That is a perfect boy birthday card! And you said you had no boy stuff.... ;)
Great masculine card, Kristin! The colors work so well, and the plaid (I love plaid!) PP, and the frame ties it all together, just like Nicole said it would! :-D
Great card! Love the patterned and matted 7, stamps and your use of a colored gel pen for the frame (it looks cool)!
This is too cute! I love the plaid 7!
Perfect card for a 'big' 7 year old boy!! The plaid paper really was a great choice for the number. the frame turned out realy cool as well.
Adorable!
Love the plaid 7...
perfect for a little guy :)
Love the matted number! The patterned paper is great for the 7, and the Take Note pointing to it is clever!!
Cute card Kristin! I like the take note sentiment on clear cardstock. Great idea to use a colored gel pen too.
Fab card, Kristin. Love the idea of using coloured pen for the frame and the clearly creative cardstock is a great touch.
